Join the book MEME

I have done this once before, but no one responded. Maybe my book excerpt was too boring. I'll do an even better one. Inside the Rainbow by Aileni Calonyddaear. I'll even give you an extra paragraph to whet your whistle. The novel is only online, but the pages are numbered... uh, some of them anyway. You really should read the book. It's very intriguing. It's more like a message within a message. See for yourself. The book excerpt follows the rules.

The Book Meme.....
You have been tagged by me for this meme. It is a book meme, and here are the rules:
Rules:
1. Grab the nearest book of 123 pages or more.
2. Open it to page 123.
3.Find the first 5 sentences and write them down.
4.Then invite 5 friends to do the same. If your name is below I invite you to contribute. (I just might read the same book that you use.)
Aileni

Meri
Aims
Damma T
Gracie

anyone else who would like to post one would be more than welcome also.

The book I choose was Inside the Rainbow by Aileni Calonyddaear
"You poor boy", Tondalle said, His hands fluttering about Semyon's shoulders, before he overcame his habitual reticence and grasped the youngster reassuringly. "Your experiences yesterday and the muck they pumped into you have upset your system. You are hallucinating." He did not pursue the question of two lines from Hofmanstahl and he would not mention his dream again. However his ward had other ideas and his next words chilled Tonhalle.
"I know what you dreamed and I know where you hope - but it wasn't the planet below us now. It was as if you were in another time.... or, or," he stammered... "or in another history!"
Distracted, Tonhalle tried to soothe: "Look Semyon- don't regard it. Put it out of your mind, it will only make you ill if you try to make sense of it." He straightened up. "I must get MedLab."
"NO!........
Now go read it for yourself. You can find it at this link: http://cennad.googlepages.com/home

From Jesus Freaks, by DC Talk, and the Voice of the Martyrs (it is like a modern day foxxes book of martyrs):

Page 123 only has 1 sentence so I will use page 122:

Natasha forgot about Mary Magdalene, tears smearing her makeup, anointing Jesus' feet with her costliest perfume and using her own hair as a cloth to rub it in. She forgot about Mary, Jesus' mother, brokenhearted, weeping bitterly at the foot of the cross, concerned more about her suffering Son than her hair or personal appearance.
She forgot also about Jesus, the fairest, with His face swollen from beatings and soiled with spittle, His body trembling with fatigue and bleeding all over, who sacrificed his own appearance to the point that he had "no beauty that we should desire him" (Isaiah 53:2nkjv).
What would you have done?

My Meme !
1. The Tragedy of Troilus and Cressida (by William Shakespeare)
2. Instance, O instance, strong as Pluto's gates! Cressid is mine, tied with the bonds of heaven. Instance, O instance, strong as heaven itself! The bonds of heaven are slipp'd , disolv'd, and loos'd, and with another knot, five finger tied, the fractions of her faith, orts of her love, the fragments, scraps, the bits, and greasy relics of her ore-eaten faith are bound to Diomed.
Ulysses. May worthy Troilus be half attached with that which here his passion doth express?
3.Tagged: Grace, My mom, Da Mamma T (if she ever reads my blog), my grandma (if she ever reads), Marissa

I just picked the books up from the library. I think the last book may be known by either title. It seems to be the same.
